Here is a painting I was asked to do. It was some time ago and the final result was animated in Toon Boom by me as well. When I find that I will post it too.

A few I Spy pages

Here is some work I was thrilled to do before the project was shut down and we all lost our jobs. It was illustrated by Pascal Campion.  It was the last children's book I was animating before the plug got pulled and I was allowed, for the first time, to go 'nuts' and animate to the extreme... that is to say that the regular limitations and constraints put on digital book media was not there so I could actually animate freely (perhaps that was a sign that things were ending). These were flat pages of jpeg format, which our photoshop person broke apart and then I broke apart further to animate (as well as old fashioned had drawn animation). This was a really well designed book and it screamed "ANIMATE ME!!!!". A high note to end that job on. Animation wise these pages are still somewhat unfinished, but give the direction I was heading in with the illustrations.

Starborn

Here is a simple cycle I  did for a digital book company. Due to the nature of the limitations the fx had to be limited. If I remember correctly it had to be less then 6 frames on 2's. This was originally a flat jpeg and I had to break layers and fill in the BG to match what was there. The result is not bad. It was a rush job and had to be done in essentially a day or two from flat Jpeg to this. I really like the desigh style of the characters and 'feel' of the original artwork.

Background colour test

Here is a befor and after of a background test I did for a show called Jake and the Neverland Pirates by a little studio called Disney. I am still waiting for feedback as I did the test yesterday. It would be fun to colour for a while. I found it creative in a way.
