Here is my flash work. It is all Cat in the Hat and was done while I was at PIP studios. I really enjoyed working with the people at PIP, they are all fun and I had some great discussions there. In this show  I found that working with the Things was the most fun, and Nic and Sally were the least. I found that the 2 kids had the least character development, in fact their personaliries seemed interchangeable and bland. The Cat and Fish had the most character, but because the cat was all cell swap I found that when I was animating him I got caught up in technical thinking and that tended to keep me from getting 'into' him. But here is what resulted...

Character Animation-Ruby Gloom

Here is a sample of my character animation. As you can see it is all from Ruby Gloom. That is because I really enjoyed working on that project, and I really enjoyed working at Nelvana. All of the character animation here is done in Toon Boom Harmony. This is the show I was working on before I got the call to go to Pipeline Studios to be an FX animator. Of all the characters in this show (and they are all great) I think my favorite to animate were Frank and Len (the 2 headed guitarist) and Misery. most of the crew didn't like working with her as her silhouette was really hard to work with for posing, but I loved her deadpanness, and the fact that she seemed to always have a story of her own going on that you never quite are privy to. I will be posting some of my more recent Flash work soon...

Fx Animation

This is a sample of my FX experience. I was asked by Pipeline to do effects for the show Grossology season 2 and I said 'yes!!!!' But the problem was that I had had no previous experience doing it. Sooo basically I was incharge of doing fx on a show that was 40- 60 percent fx per episode and had to jump into it hot. Oh yes, one more thing... I started late due to the fact that I was finishing my contract with Nelvana, so when I got there production was well under way. Good times. Steep learning curve and behind to start. But looking back it was one of the best times of my career. Great people to work with and a good product that I am proud to have been a part of.
